Beckett the Badass is back. Sniper 2 does what the Predator franchise did. It takes the badass parts from the first instance of the movie (which were enrolled in a jungle), then bring it to an urban area instead. Keeping the actual core (dudes being badass snipers).

This time, CIA wants Thomas Beckett (Berenger) back, to assassinate general Valstoria something, a Serbian bad dude doing some ethnic cleansing in his hood. Beckett is teamed up with Cole (some black dude who got bailed out from jail for this mission, cause he’s apparently some kinde of super-ninja scout with skillz of awesomeness). Of course, when they are in the place and everything goes their way, they discover that there’s actually more to the mission than they first thought; hidden agendas is just the preface for everything that’s about to hit the fan.

Anyways. I liked it, cause it contains snipers. I have a hard time saying if I like this better than the first one or not. Of course, you can’t escape the fact that its a quite shallow movie. But hey, I didn’t sign up for any in-depth drama-junk went watching a movie called “Sniper”. I’d expect raw, war (hehe, look at those two words together!) action with dudes killing each other off and excerpt revenge on bad guys. Plain and simple as it should be.

Yes, it is worth seeing.
