Hardstyle Enters Swedish Public Service Radio

March 21st, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

This is an advancement in the right direction:

(Hard Dance Awards 2009, starring Showtek to represent the hardstyle scene. I know the choice of act could’ve been better, but they won the award and I must say that it is better than no hardstyle at all :-) ).

IKEA

March 13th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

It’s time to get some order in my apartment. So tomorrow me and my lovely girl (for those of you who didn’t know it: Carina, also known as The Wild Animal, The Angry Killer, The Fierce Fighter or The One That Can’t Get Enough Shoes).

It’s gonna be interesting to see how much money I will spend (or rather: how much money she will make me spend ;-) ). A new armchair (another one identical to the one I already have), a bookshelf, some carpets, lamps and probably a whole lot of other stuff too is on the list. And I gotta get rid of my 2-seat sofa I have now (which is crap and doesn’t fit designwise in my apartment).

Then I probably should do something better with my bedroom. It feels so unpersonal as it is now. I think Carina surely has some great ideas on how to do something better with it. I have to be careful though. Once she gets started it will be really hard to make her stop (and the result of that will be seen in my bank account…) =).

Tokyo Gore Police [Tôkyô zankoku keisatsu] (2008)

March 13th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

tokyo_gore_police_mb10Tokyo Gore Police is a fucked up, crazy ass, bloodfilled, unbelievable gory, japanese, funny, disgusting, entertaining action/horror movie. See the details here. (Big thanks to Mark Smith for lending me this movie).

Tokyo Gore Police is like… the craziest shit ever on screen. If you like to see a lot of blood (and by a lot I mean like… a shitload), see penises and arms being bitten off and later on mutated to huge weapons (I’m not shitting you. A guy gets his penis chewed off by a slut and then it transforms to this kind of… giant-dick-grenade-launcher-of-mass-destruction). What if my sperm were that lethal! :D .

What more, a girl gets shot in half but later on develops alligatorjaws instead of legs (which she then uses to attack a dude). Another one grabs a girls’ ass in the subway. He gets his hands chopped off. Furthermore, another dude get cut in his face – and then he peels his top of his head off and instead develops two gun barrels instead of eyes. Which he uses to shoot stuff with.

And then we have this police girl as you can see on the cover. She cuts herself in the wrist emo-style and then uses her sword to kill those mutant enemies called “Engineers”.

I must say that this is one of the most crazyass movies I’ve ever seen. And that you’ve ever seen or will see. You gotta see it. You can’t miss this low-budget masterpiece. It opens a can of whuppass on your eyes. And you will laugh.

Stephen King – The Dark Half (1989)

March 13th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

DarkhalfAs almost always in Kings books this story starrs a writer as main character; Thad Beaumont. Thad has written some horrifying novels under his alter-ego George Stark – an alter ego that seems to have been brought to life and now chases after and kills everyone related to Thad Beaumont and his career.

That’s the short version of the story. And I won’t give away more. It is sad that the Swedish translation was decided to be “Stark” (meaning ‘Strong’ in Swedish). I’ve always thought it would have something with strength to do until I actually read the book and noticed that the antagonist is named Stark. I became furious! But not so furious that I stopped reading. Now like this afterwards, I’m glad that I read the book. It was good and gave me some thrills (and chills too – some gore scenes are described very explicit making you kinda feel nausious when reading. That is not like I usually react).

I don’t know if I should classify this one as one of the better of King’s stories or if it is like… somewhere in between the best and the mediocre ones. I’d definitely say that you should read it anyways.

Later on I’m gonna watch the movie based on this book. I bet it’ll probably suck big time, but I actually have to see this one. I really do.

Wall-E (2008)

March 10th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

walle1Me and my girlfriend were chilling out at my crib the other day when we decided we should watch a movie. I wanted something containing zombies, vampires, killer robots, gore, naked chicks, car chases, explosions, nuclear blasts, postapocalyptic disaster or pure terror. She wanted something funny.

So we went for Wall-E. I think I made the big retreat here, but at least I got the post-apocalyptic stuff.

Wall-E is an animated movie centered around a clumsy robot (named Wall-E; strange, huh?). This robot’s mission is to clean up planet earth from all trash. Supposedly the human race had too much littering going on, and now the earth is useless. As a result of this all people on earth (i.e. USA, since the earth is only populated by americans according to the movie) went into space on this humoungosly retardedly huge ship called Axiom.

What the hell was I writing? Oh, yeah! So Wall-E is cleaning up all this trash, when he encounters this other robot called EVE (but Wall-E insists on calling her EVA since he’s…. well I dunno, and it doesn’t matter). And then there are some funny scenes, some action scenes where Wall-E and EVA/EVE goes to this Axiom ship and then there’s a happy ending. You know, the regular Disney stuff.

You don’t get any surprises, but you can bet your ass on that your girlfriend will find the movie all cutie-putie-lutie-dutie and all that stuff. You don’t get any gore, but some explosions and a kinda good soundtrack.

For a few laughs this isn’t too bad. It’s like a good hangover-movie. And it really is funny at some parts. So give it a chance if you feel like you want to give your softer self a try. I didn’t, but I enjoyed it anyways (since I would’ve got my ass kicked by my girlfriend if I chose to see 28 weeks later instead).

Awaken The Dead (2007)

March 03rd, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

post-121931-1200681818 So I was sitting at home the other day, browsing through my movie collection when I found this piece of shit. Awaken The Dead. Sounds pretty kickass, doesn’t it? Too bad it was as far from kickass as you could come.

Story: A priest and a whore waiting in a house for a dude, when zombies starts to attack them.

The director decided to shoot the whole god damn movie through some kind of filter making it look “dirty”. That would’ve been cool if it wasn’t used like throughout the whole 100 minutes or so. What more, the acting was horrible (as expected from a low budget movie), the dialogues are even more retarded than in Evil Dead (which, by the way, has the best one-liners ever). The motherfucker who mastered the sound should get his ass kicked. If the talking doesn’t sound like shit, it is so low so you can’t hear what they’re saying.

One good thing about the movie is the music though. It kinda kicks ass. It has some good moments too. When the first zombies strike and the gore starts flowing on the screen, the movie is really getting som cojones. But the first gore scene are like the only good gore scene at all in the movie. The rest is just crap. Really really crap. Like a pile of dinosaur shit. And what the fuck is the deal with the dialogues. EVERYTHING anyone ever says in the movie are clichés. And not in a funny-retro-sarcastic-good way.

Then we have the ending. What a fucked up ending. Really. It even made the movie more horrible than it had already been.

“Would you two keep it down? The zombies are dead, not deaf”.

Oh, and another thing. I hate, hate, HATE when they skip frames in action scenes making some kind of fucked up slow-motion effect. Fuck you. I’ll rip your head off if you think that is a cool thing to do. That is just retarded and surely a poor excuse for not being able to make cool special effects. You suck, mr. director. And I probably hate you too.

The Boondock Saints (1999)

March 03rd, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

boondock_saintsSince our party this saturday was named Vaffanculo, several people started talking about The Boondock Saints. Supposedly there was a connection to the word ‘Vaffanculo’ somewhere in the movie. And I saw it. In the end.

The Boondock Saints centers around two irish brothers who are committed to killing evil people. Evil in the sense not following the ten commandments. Or such. The concept is great and kicks ass, as well as these two brothers actually do. The hunt for them by the police and FBI is entertaining. Even the FBI dude who actually has something like an intellect (in contrast to the cops) is quite amusing to see. Especially when he mocks the stupid cops. And even more when he’s feeling with the brothers who are trying to claim some justice outside the borders of the law. The acting is great too.

There are a lot of cool action scenes, and you get plenty of great dialogues. You’ll have to see this one if you haven’t done that already. I can’t believe that I’ve been missing out on this great movie for 10 years. That sucks!
